In this subject students will be provided with an introduction to learning at university with a focus on the academic skills needed to engage successfully in the CFY and further study in the Health Sciences. Students will be introduced to information literacy resources, LMS and a range of online learning support materials. They will use the Enquiry Based Learning process to explore the skills and concepts required to fully participate and learn in teams. The subject focuses on extending students' engagement with content in the other common first-year subjects with a particular focus on scientific knowledge, effective reading, proficient writing and independent study strategies.
