Subject outline
HCS3AOC introduces techniques used by clinicians and communication researchers for analysing different facets of communication, and is organised into three modules (phonetics/phonology, morphosyntax, discourse/pragmatics). Students will be expected to develop proficiency in some analytical techniques, while others are in effect only introduced, with a view to students pursuing further details either in team enquiries, or in subsequent years of the course or, potentially, post-graduation.
