EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY AND PERFORMANCE
EDU2EPP
2015
Credit points: 15
Subject outline
Students participate in interactive lectures, practical laboratory classes and a personal training program to examine the short and long term physiological changes that occur in the human body when subjected to exercise and environmental stress. Students are required to participate in physical activity and a variety of sports as an integral part of this subject. Concepts such as the energy continuum, nutrition, performance, and the benefits of active lifestyles are investigated so that students can apply such knowledge in terms of physical fitness assessment and exercise prescription as well as physical education.
