Subject outline
This unit is predominately self-directed learning using LMS modules listed below to explore new materials, new procedures, interactions, detailed design, commissioning, operation, maintenance, decommissioning and recycling of infrastructure for the specific engineering disciplines as a response to the impact of climate change, peak oil, new materials and sustainability issues. This unit will commence with a workshop on the management and construction of asset databases and conclude with a "2020 Design Report" of a chosen piece of infrastructure.
