Subject outline

This subject introduces students to management information systems (MIS) ideas, concepts and common applications. The focus is not on the technology involved but on the business use of systems such as Data Warehouses, Customer Relationship Management Systems, Supply Chain Management and Enterprise Resource Planning systems. Through lectures, problem based learning and hands-on experience; this unit will provide students with an overview of the entire MIS discipline as well as solid preparation for further study in management information systems units.
