Subject outline
This subject introduces students to selected concepts of international business, trade and investment. Students will gain knowledge of the historical development of international trade and investment and develop an understanding of the resulting strategies. Selected theories of international trade and investment will be analysed and applied to business strategies and their impact at enterprise, regional and national levels identified. Students will develop an understanding of selected national and international fiscal policies, in-turn providing them with knowledge and skills to analyse the impact of those policies on enterprises and markets. Assessment tasks will require students to apply theory to practice in a relevant context.
