Subject outline

Subject 4 of 6 Subjects. Subject 4 continues to consolidate and extend the student's skill base. Added light, particularly on location, flash, TTL, off camera, bounce, direct, studio, location, balancing and over-riding daylight, painting with light offer the student potential for image making far beyond the amateur. Constructing an image, directing an image is also explored, and students must create work using these components. Photoshop CS3,4,5,etc is required. Use of Photoshop Elements is acceptable but not desirable. Research and visual exploration of Assignment 3 to begin at Week 5. Students must have a DSLR camera that uses a memory card. On campus intensive at beginning of semester delivers classes from the online delivery. That is if the student is unable to attend the on campus intensive they are not disadvantaged. Interviews with practising photographers across commercial and exhibition offer valuable insight into work practice
