Subject outline
In this subject students move from the 'found' photograph in Unit 1 to understanding the 'constructed' photograph. Assignments will reflect these concerns and enhance the student's ability to work to a specific client brief. Studio Lighting is introduced and explored. The student begins to understand the multi-layered complexity of a successful photographic image, both in 'reading' that image and in the creation of it Six Units are offered every semester. You must have access to Photoshop CS3,4,5 etc. Photoshop Elements is acceptable but NOT desirable. A DSLR camera using a memory card is mandatory.
