Subject outline
This subject is the first practical placement for Postgraduate Counselling Psychology students and continues from Internship A (PSY5MIA). Each student must complete a minimum of 334 placement hours and receive at least one hour of supervision from a qualified psychologist (i.e. a registered supervisor and member of the Counselling College) for every 7.5 hours (one day) of placement activity (in accordance with APAC requirements). The principal internship activity must be face-to-face counselling and psychotherapy. Students are expected to integrate their internship experiences into other coursework and submit case studies and/or presentations to successfully fulfil the subject requirements.

One 45.0 days placement - off site per study period and delivered via face-to-face.
"Each practicum internship must consist of minimum of 334 hours - including at least 100 hours face-to-face client contact and 45 hours supervision (at least 50% individual supervision), two internship logs (placement activity and supervision) signed weekly by PsyBA approved supervisor.
