Credit points: 60

Subject outline

External applicants with excellent results in a three-year psychology sequence accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) and La Trobe graduates from earlier years with the APAC accredited 3-year sequence in psychology, apply through the School. The main components of the course are several seminars covering evidence-based psychological assessment and evidence-based practice, theoretical and empirical topics in psychology, ethical and professional issues and psychological research methods, two major pieces of written work and three exams. A psychological research methods exam ensures an understanding of issues involved in research methodology and analysis. The supervised honours research projects are often closely related to ongoing staff research projects.
