Subject outline

Research Project in Psychology A is a capstone subject whose function is to bring together, reinforce, extend, and illustrate applications of research themes dealt with in first, second, and third year of the Bachelor of Psychological Science. A topic exemplifying one of the School's Areas of Research (AOR) is the focus for these activities. Specifically, students gain experience in the design of a research study, as well as in applying for ethics approval and funding to conduct the study. Relevant themes in the history and philosophy of psychology are also covered. Practical experience with the themes introduced in project group seminars is provided in the tutorials and self-guided learning activities for this subject.
