Subject outline

In this unit students will be introduced to a variety of conditions outlined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV-TR with the aim of defining the characteristics of each condition and offering treatment options across various schools of thought. The curriculum also includes key topics from clinical and health psychology with an aim of preparing students to better understand the more prevalent public health concerns. Students will have access to hypothetical cases in tutorials and will be able to choose an essay topic from a short list to research.
