Subject outline

In this subject, students will develop skills in the application of clinical assessment, prescription and practical skills in the orthotic management of complex lower limb pathologies with a focus on Knee Ankle Foot Orthoses (KAFO's). Clinical decision-making skills and the justification of orthotic management are emphasised with peer based case studies and volunteer patients. Students are expected to apply previous knowledge and skills from preceding subjects.
