POD5PHT
2014
Credit points: 45
Subject outline
In this subject students with distinction in their undergraduate studies complete a research-based thesis. Students conduct an independent research project, which may be qualitative or quantitative. Examples of projects include, but are not limited to: laboratory-based biomechanical studies, evaluations of the effectiveness of interventions, case-control studies to investigate associations, and systematic reviews to assess evidence for interventions. The thesis submitted for this subject is a manuscript of the research project and is expected to be in the form of a journal manuscript that is ready to be submitted for publication to a peer-reviewed journal. Students will undertake the preparatory work for this subject (a literature review and methods) in POD5PHP Podiatry Honours Preparation in semester two of their fourth year. POD5PHP is a prerequisite for POD5PHT.
