Subject outline
In this subject, students will further develop their skills in podiatric treatments, therapy, intervention techniques and patient management through clinical practice at the La Trobe University Health Sciences Clinic and external placements. They will focus on advanced foot and ankle surgery, advanced wound management and working with older people while consolidating skills acquired from previous learning. Students will build upon their understanding of evidence based practice and enquiry-based learning as they explore a number of complex clinical scenarios presenting to the podiatry clinic.
