Subject outline

In the context of podiatric clinical cases, students will develop foundation knowledge and skills in the assessment and management of the podiatric client. In terms of podiatric assessment, this subject will develop students' ability to evaluate lower limb neurological and vascular competence, as well as, interpret radiographic and laboratory tests. Enquiry tasks are complemented by a series of skills sessions where students develop their ability to perform these assessment and management tasks and operate relevant equipment.

Prerequisites Must have passed all subjects from (HLT1IPA,HLT1IPB,HBS1HBB,HBS2ALF,HBS2PAT,HLT2IEP,HBS3NPM, POD3PPB). Must be enrolled in one of the following courses: HZHPOD,HZHPDW,HZHPDB,HZHPDM,HZHPDS - Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Podiatric Practice. Or admission into HMPOD, HMPODB - Master of Podiatric Practice.
