Subject outline
In this subject students are provided with an orientation to community development, community centredness, community structures and evaluating perspectives and frameworks. We will also cover: dealing with diversity in residents and stakeholders; vision setting; how to achieve common goals; moving from visions to action; strategies for multi-level interventions; understanding differences; conflict management; working with volunteers and non-paid participants; competent communities; and identifying useful outcomes.
