Subject outline

In this subject you will develop their professional and reflective practice skills, learn to critique their clinical planning and decision making in relation to client work and begin to understand their roles as members of practitioner teams. You will focus on their personal development as trainee art therapists based on their experience of 200 hours of clinical placement (PHE4ACA) at either a hospital or community based setting in a small supervision group. You will reflect on, discuss and develop strategies for managing this initial period in their professional development within settings which may have varying understandings of the practice of art therapy.
