Subject outline

In this subject you will explore group art therapy through theoretical and experiential learning. The focus is on learning about experiential group art therapy, gaining an understanding of art making within a group context, an understanding of group development and the group dynamics process and issues of visual and verbal self disclosure. The impact of image making in groups on the individual student, the group process and the learning about group art therapy practice will be examined.
