In this subject, students undertake a practice-based placement, in a relevant organisation or agency, in order to conduct approved tasks designed to achieve specific learning objectives.Under the guidance of staff, the student researches and obtains their own placement.The aim of the subject is to give students an opportunity to integrate theoretical concepts, in a supervised setting, to expand relevant skills, knowledge and attitudes. This might be in the area of project development and implementation, for example. The seminar series accompanying the placement seeks to orient students to practical concerns of a work environment and to gain a broad perspective on potential employment possibilities.

Prerequisites If in HBHS then must have passed all 7 core first year subjects and must have passed 105 credit points at 2 from Public Health or Rehabilitation Counselling major. If in HZHSID, HZHSB or AZAHS then must have passed all 7 core first year subjects and must have passed 90 credit points at 2 from Public Health or Rehabilitation Counselling major. All other students require coordinator's approval.
