Subject outline

In this subject, students will be provided with the skills to facilitate adaptive behaviour change process in clients. The subject will address how to motivate clients to change their behaviour ie. motivational interviewing, and adhere to the recommendations of health professionals. As well, students will be introduced to techniques to produce better interactions between themselves, as future practitioners, and their clients; including skills for dealing with clients who are angry, anxious or highly resistant to change.
