Subject outline
Pharmacists dispense many dosage forms and need to understand their strengths and limitations. Students will be taught the design and formulation of two-phase pharmaceutical products including suspensions and emulsions. Major topics include: pharmaceutically relevant physicochemical phenomena, quality assurance, preparation and extemporaneous dispensing of pharmaceutical preparations, including pharmaceutical calculations.
