Subject outline
In this subject students will learn and integrate the knowledge and skills required to design projects aimed at developing and implementing innovations in paramedicine and clinical practice within a local community context. The final two clinical placement subjects will be undertaken in conjunction with this subject. Students will be encouraged to collaborate with paramedics, other health care professionals and local communities to develop work that is of potential benefit to paramedicine, and the health and well-being of the community. The learning activities will be enquiry-based and may include clinical or systems research and evaluation, development of health education initiatives or exploration of innovations in paramedic practice. Students will develop and consolidate skills and knowledge in community needs analysis, critical analysis and interdisciplinary practice in a community setting.
