Subject outline

Students undertaking the Bachelor of Paramedic Practice and Bachleor of Public Health Promotion program are required to undertake clinical placements to develop their professional knowledge, clinical practice and professional behaviours. In this fourth and final clinical placement subject, students will have an opportunity to integrate theory into practice under supervision in specialist clinical settings. Students will undertake placements in the emergency health system as well as in emergency paramedic services. These specialised clinical experiences will enable students to develop as clinicians within the framework of the Paramedics Australasia Competency Standards for Paramedics and the broader emergency health system. While on these clinical placements, students will have the opportunity to practice and develop their clinical skills in the management of patients with acute health conditions in supervised clinical environments.
