Subject outline
The advanced clinical management of critically ill or injured patients in complex situations will be studied in this subject. The student will be introduced to paramedic advanced life support (ALS) and the intensive care practices (ICP). The student will gain insight into the process of working with ALS and ICP paramedics and allied emergency and healthcare professionals. Students will engage in complex simulated learning environments (SLE) and case reviews, thereby further developing their advanced problem solving and decision-making skills.
