Subject outline

In this subject students will learn to apply their restorative skills to provide direct simple restorations in the adult patient (over the age of 25 years). Development of clinical judgment skills in identifying teeth which may be safely treated by an oral health therapist with simple direct restorations and developing a greater understanding of the complexity of adult restorative care, will be the focus of this subject. This subject will highlight issues of scope of practice and the legislation under which oral health therapists practice.

Laboratory Class
Four 3.0 hours laboratory class per study period on weekdays during the day and delivered via face-to-face.
"Students will attend a 3-hour lab class on each of the following days in 2014 - 7 March, 14 March, 4 April, 11 April."

LectureWeek: 10 - 22
One 2.0 hours lecture per week on weekdays during the day from week 10 to week 22 and delivered via face-to-face.
"The first lecture will be held in week 49 in 2013. Lectures will recommence in 2014 from week 10."
