Subject outline
In this subject students develop a working knowledge of key elements in natural and cultural resource management, with particular reference to protected areas. Topics include weeds and feral animals, legal and scientific approaches to natural resource management, use of protected areas as a baseline for research and management, and the interplay between natural and cultural resource management. Case studies focus on biodiversity and heritage management practices in south eastern Australia.
