Subject outline
This 15 week subject is structured around two modules, and learners will apply, critique and reflect upon major subject themes through the conduct of an organisational project. In Module One, learners are introduced to the concepts and practice issues associated with population based approaches to health and wellbeing, and how occupation is enabled beyond the individual. In Module Two, learners turn their focus to their own impending role as advanced entry level occupational therapy practitioners. Learners will explore factors associated with organisations, including leadership and management, and practical skills such as project management, objective setting related to quality planning and service development. Finally, learners are expected to be able to reflect on and set objectives relating to their own and others practice development needs.
