Subject outline
Students will review literature and research exploring the nature of occupation and its interrelationships with health, drawn from occupational science and occupational therapy literature. The subject will provide an overview of current concepts related to occupation, including its temporal, meaning, social and environmental dimensions, together with considering their relevance and use to inform contemporary occupational therapy practice. Students will review and evaluate the theoretical literature on one aspect of occupation in a written paper, and examine the application of current concepts related to occupation in an area of practice, to be presented in a seminar. LMS is utilised in this subject.
