Subject outline
In this subject students will be given the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills to assess and treat clients who have disorders of movement and sensation and acquired disorders of cognition and perception. Theoretical approaches to practice in this field are presented and reviewed. Students learn how to apply theory in practise and are trained in a variety of neurological assessments. Students are also provided with a range of strategies for intervention and are given the opportunity to practice these with clinical cases. This subject is comprised of two modules: Motor Sensory, and Cognitive/Perceptual Neurological Rehabilitation. This subject utilises LMS for sharing of student investigated information, discussions, formative and peer assessments.
