Subject outline

In this subject students will examine and develop a repertoire of clinical interventions aimed at managing a stable intensive care patient. The subject uses a range of educational activities to help students understand the physiological, psychological and social needs of this patient cohort and explore the interventions aimed at meeting those needs. Students are encouraged to build a personal portfolio of skills that can be combined into an effective package that provides quality patient care while functioning as a member in an intensive care team.
