Subject outline
In this subject the focus is on assessment of risk factors and pathophysiological changes in an individual's state of health. Health assessment knowledge and skills are required as part of clinical decision-making. This facilitates the delivery of care by enabling the diagnosis of actual and potential nurse sensitive and collaborative health problems, and the evaluation of an individual's response to therapy. Health priorities in Hong Kong will provide the context for consideration of a number of clinical assessment and decision-making models and their application, including diagnostic tests and techniques.
