In this subject students will examine the influence of research and evolving nursing knowledge on clinical practice and professional roles. Students will be introduced to frameworks for analysing selected contemporary issues and trends in health care that will shape future nursing practice. Through the process of critical thinking and reflection of practice, students will analyse contemporary issues in health care, identify the implications of these issues for nursing and explore options for effecting improvement in quality nursing practice. The subject's modular structure allows a choice of topics in different learning contexts.
