Subject outline

Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) is a critical tool for planning, developing, managing and evaluating organisational HR performance. This subject develops a comprehensive understanding of multi-disciplinary models of Human Resource Management (HRM), Information Technology (IT), Information Systems (IS) and General Management and applies these models in the design, implementation, delivery and ongoing management of technology-enabled Human Resource (HR) services. Along with fundamentals of HRIS, concepts such as Information Security and Privacy, and emerging trends in managing technology-enabled HR services are examined in this unit.
