Conflict coaching is a strategy for dispute resolution in the organisational context. It offers benefits as an early intervention strategy to assist an individual to identify and work towards conflict management goals. Coaching is also used to prepare participants in mediation. This unit examines the theory of conflict coaching, particularly in workplace settings. Principles and methods specific to conflict coaching are introduced. A range of tools, skills and strategies are practiced and explored.
