Subject outline
Journalists are increasingly being expected to possess skills across a range of styles of digital production. Over the course of the subject, students develop and maintain a blog and are given the opportunity to develop their writing and research skills, and will be introduced to live blogging, social media research and storytelling, and web-based data visualisation, geo-mapping tools such as Google maps and infographics. No specialist computer programming or design skills are required for entry into this subject.
