Subject outline
In this subject students will consolidate language skills acquired in VCE Japanese (Second Language)or Japanese Beginners 1001 & 1002 (BE1 & BE2) (La Trobe University). Using a range of task-based communicative activitiesstudents develop interpersonal skills and theability to talk about their identity, education, family and lifestyle in contemporary Japanese. Approximately 350+ vocabulary items and 100 kanji are taught to augment students' Japanese spoken and written proficiency. Students will also be taught increasingly complicated but essential grammatical patterns. It is recommended that student take AST1IJI and AST1ICI with this subject.
