Subject outline

In this unit, students will gain an understanding of evaluation and its application in environmental health practice. Students will be guided through scoping and planning evaluation in this context and consider study designs, and data collection for the evaluation of environmental health services. This unit will focus on evaluating inputs, structure, processes, outputs and outcomes. The utilisation of the evaluation findings will also be explored. The importance of ethics and stakeholder participation will be considered. Environmental health case studies will be used to illustrate key points throughout the unit.
