Subject outline
In this subject students will be able to build on the knowledge gained in HIM2HMA and to complement HIM3HMB. Students investigate and analyse health information systems, and learn to apply practical health information science by undertaking a professional practice placement in the Health Information Service of a healthcare agency to which they are assigned. Students integrate theory and practice in basic health information systems, health informatics, and health information manager responsibilities. Regular contact is maintained with the University Supervisor.
