Subject outline

This subject is an elective that is usually offered during semester breaks over one intensive week. This subject aims to enhance the individual's normal communication skills (eg., speech, voice and language) in order to facilitate success of the graduate in the competitive workplace. Students will be provided with the opportunity to gain an understanding of the principles of effective verbal and non-verbal communication with particular reference to the ability to present information clearly to groups. Students will be given a range of opportunities to practise their communication skills within a group situation and receive and give feedback on their performances and those of their class peers.
