Subject outline

After completing this subject, students should be able to undertake the investment research, financial analysis and equity valuation necessary to estimate the value of an 'industrial' stock and to define an investment strategy in respect of such a stock. As such, students should have acquired the equity valuation knowledge and skills required of CFA Levels 2 and 3. Students will have the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to work as an effective member of a team as well as to enhance their independent and collaborative learning skills. Finally, students will consider the ethical issues associated with undertaking investment research.
