Subject outline
In this subject students broadly examine the diversity of literacy learning that teachers may encounter. Issues covered include; literacy & social justice; literacy & impairment; literacy teaching in diverse communities; differences in literacy learning; monitoring individual progress; and teaching methods for intensive instruction in class programs, small groups or individual teaching. Students will also choose a module for further application or in-depth study from either: (1) Literacy and Language: assessment and evaluation or (2) Digital Literacy and Augmentative communication.
