Subject outline

In this subject students will investigate real life tasks and challenges and use design and technology construction in order to create a solution. Working with the VELS Interdisciplinary Strand 'Design, Creativity and Technology' students will have the opportunity to plan a suitable application of the task to school based learning, through the development of a practical unit of work. Topics covered in this subject include design skills, understanding good design, design processes, evaluating products in terms of design and utility, teaching design and technology and evaluating OH&S issues in schools.
