EDU4DTM
2014
Credit points: 15
Subject outline
Knowledge and skills are developed about lesson and course planning, units of work, interdisciplinary strategies, and assessment and reporting. The emphasis is on curriculum development in an Australian context, drawing upon the example of the Victorian Essential Learning Standards, Victorian Certificate of Education, and the new Australian curriculum. Strategic advice relating to teaching this discipline is based on drama skills, processes and theories. Students will examine elements of process drama, performance, stagecraft and text, and engage in developing teaching strategies and narrative approaches that embrance drama as a subject and a methodology.
