This subject addresses La Trobe's Sustainability Thinking Essential. Sustainability Thinking entails deep appreciation of how the choices we make affects the natural, economic, social, political and cultural systems — now and in the future.

Subject outline

In this subject students examine how young children can develop their understandings and skills in mathematics, science and technology. Students will learn to promote problem-solving and inquiry as a basis for learning. Students will learn about the core principles in mathematics, science and technology and how these can be introduced to children in meaningful and engaging ways.
