PERSONALISED AND ACTIVE LEARNING
Credit points: 30
This is a cornerstone subject in which first year education students develop core knowledge required to learn successfully throughout the course. As such we focus on student learning at university as well as the skills associated with successful academic writing in a range of genres. Students develop foundational understandings about theories associated with learning and teaching. The subject is structured around a compulsory five days school placement enabling students to make links between theory and practice. ICT skills are embedded within the subject and utilised in assessment tasks.
