In this subject students focus on increasing their knowledge of the English language and literacy, including an understanding of the influence of their identities and cultures on their development as English/Literacy teachers. Students develop competency in the use of English language conventions and study the developmental nature of language and literacy learning as well as the teaching approaches, and strategies for involving parents/carers used in the early years of school.
