Subject outline
Students are introduced to the quantitative tools such as, for example, MATLAB and Mathematica used to undertake quantitative research in economics and econometrics. Aplications using MATLAB packages and Mathematica scripts are presented. Students are introduced to the mathematics used in Dynamic Programing and are shown how to apply these techniques using MATLAB and Mathematica. Aplications in microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics are covered.
