Subject outline

This subject has two areas of focus that occupy professional activity. These are the understanding and application of professional ethics and the promotion of user acceptance of information systems. In this subject students will develop their analytical and practical skills in professional issues in business information systems. The focus is on the implications of and for professional standards, ethics, governance, privacy, intellectual property, piracy and the interrelating areas of information systems that support the storage, manipulation and retrieval of organisational knowledge. At the completion of this subject students should have a good understanding of the concepts necessary for informed and responsible professional practice.
