BUSINESS NUMERACY

BUS1BUN

2014

Credit points: 15

Subject outline

Business numeracy is basic maths related both to the world in which you live and will work, and will assist you in satisfactorily completing your business degree program. Skills developed are those which may not have been covered in sufficent depth in the student's secondary schooling. All the applied problems are designed to simulate instances in real life where you would need these maths skills. The curriculum is integrated with the business degree foundation subjects: it is designed to complement the numerical demands of the business foundation subjects in a timely fashion, so as to provide you with the support you require to achieve the intended learning outcomes defined for the business foundation subjects and to meet the math benchmark required of a first year business student.
